Regency Government Focuses On Repairing Kudus Streets That Gompal Due To Floods

The Kudus Regency Government (Pemkab), Central Java will immediately repair damaged district roads, after previously a number of areas were affected by flooding, as well as to welcome Eid al-Fitr 2024.

"After the flood disaster, of course, many district roads were damaged, so after the flood receded, repairs were needed immediately," said Acting Regent of Kudus MHAsan Chabibie, after attending a plenary meeting of the submission of the Accountability Statement Report (LKPJ) at the Kudus DPRD, reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 25.

In fact, he said, damaged roads are not only at the district level, including in sub-districts, villages, and national roads.

For this reason, his party communicated with the chairman of the DPRD that after the flood the focus was on improving infrastructure.

Road repairs that can be done, of course, are adjusted to the 2024 budget which was previously programmed.

"Even if it has not been included in the budgeting for the purely 2024 APBD, it will be proposed through the 2024 Revised APBD," he said.

The Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) of Kudus Regency has a routine budget for road repairs in 2024 of IDR 7 billion, while for road improvement activity packages around IDR 40 billion.

The district road has a total of 639.261 kilometers, while the priority is improvement, namely Jalan Mayor Kusmanto, Ring Road, Jalan Tanjung Karang, and Jalan Bakti.

If the road that is damaged after the flood has not been included in the budgeting, then PUPR Kudus still allows to propose it through changes, because last year also received a budget from the profit-sharing fund for tobacco products (DBHCHT).
