JAKARTA - The terrorist 'psychwar' series of firecracker shots at a hotel in the Central Jakarta area where Vietnamese players are staying has gone viral on social media.

In the video footage, a group of people can be seen installing firecrackers tied to a road divider at a hotel in the Tanah Abang area.

"The incident came before dawn at around 03.00 WIB. There were small children playing with firecrackers, after being reprimanded by the security guard they fled," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Ipda Ruslan when confirmed, Friday, March 22.

Ipda Ruslan also denied that there was terror against Vietnamese players at the hotel where they rested.

"For tonight there was no firecracker incident, the Vietnamese players have finished competing still at GBK," he said.

Previously, the match between the Indonesian national team vs Vietnam ended 1-0 for the Garuda Squad. The Indonesian vs Vietnam national team duel is the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.

This inter-state duel was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Thursday, March 21, 2024, WIB night. Vietnam appeared to attack since the beginning of the first half.
