5 Years Of Operation, Fake Doctor In South Cikarang Arrested

JAKARTA During his 5 years of operation, a fake doctor located in South Cikarang was arrested by the Bekasi Metro Police. The suspect named Inghy Tito Banyu alias Sunaryanto was proven not to have a clinical Practice Permit (SIP) and did not have a Registration Certificate (STR). "The suspect was arrested on Friday, March 15, 2024, at around 19.30 WIB," said Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Twedi Aditya, Tuesday, March 19.

The arrests were made at the clinic with its address at Perum Taman Cikarang Indah II Blok F.20 Number 06 RT 005/015 Ciantra Village, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police, AKBP Gogo Galesung, said that the case was revealed on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, after receiving a report from the community. On that basis, his party conducted observations and examination of witnesses related to the complaint.

In addition to securing the perpetrators, the police also confiscated a number of evidences in the form of three doctor's clothes, one stethoscope, a list of patients for treatment and a doctor's prescription.

The suspect has been operating at the clinic since 2019 with quick profits.

"After checking with the Bekasi District Office, no STR (Registration Certificate) was found on behalf of Dr. Inghy Tito Banyu, and SIP (Practical Permit Letter)," he said.

According to the information obtained, at the clinic there were 3 people who worked with the suspect.

"There are three employees. They have been examined and they do not know that the person concerned is a fake doctor," he said.

Currently, Ingwy Tito Banyu has been detained. He was charged with Article 439 and/or Article 441 and/or Article 312 of Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health and/or Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
