Ahmad Doli Soal Kabar Jokowi-Gibran Digagadang Jadi Ketum Golkar: Munas Masih 9 Bulan Lagi

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Ahmad Doli Kurnia responded to the news that President Joko Widodo, including Gibran Rakabumung Raka, would join the Golkar Party and be nominated as chairman at the National Conference (Munas) which will be held in December. Doli assessed that the news does not need to be discussed because the Golkar National Conference is still being held for a long time.

"In the 2019 National Conference results AD / ART, the National Conference (hereafter, red) was held in December. In December it is still a long time, around 9 months away, so I don't think there is a need to talk too much about National Conference," said Doli, Monday, March 18.

Moreover, regarding Jokowi, Doli emphasized that he had repeatedly conveyed who wanted to join Golkar and would be greeted with open arms.

"Never mind a president, we just accept ordinary citizens with great pleasure, let alone the president," said the chairman of Commission II of the DPR.

However, to this day, Doli emphasized that he had never stated that he had left the PDIP.

"What we have known so far is that he is a PDIP cadre, and PDIP has never stated that Pak Jokowi is not a PDIP cadre, that's why we also have to respect, return to the verdict," said Doli.

Regarding Gibran, Doli said that there had been no detailed discussion regarding the names of the candidates for the Golkar Ketum, including the name of the mayor of Solo.

"That's why I think if the National Conference, so far we haven't talked about it in detail because the National Conference is still a long time ago. Yesterday, the solidity that I conveyed was one of them, one of which was that we were solidly supporting the National Conference to be held in December 2024 according to the AD ART and then completing this period until the end," he concluded.
