JAKARTA - Member of the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR RI from the PDIP faction, Darmadi Durianto, said that Jakarta could not become a global city if it was still having problems with congestion and flooding. This is because the status of a global city will be embarrassing if the two problems are not resolved. This was said by Darmadi during a discussion meeting on the DIM Bill on DKJ at the Nusantara I Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, March 15. Darmadi initially questioned the particularity of Jakarta after it was no longer the nation's capital. He asked the DPR and the government to make policies to make Jakarta a global city. "I'm from PDIP, I don't see any specialities, the breakthrough is not very valuable, the chairman, so we want steps so that we can turn Jakarta into a global city," said Darmadi. According to Darmadi, there needs to be details in the bill. For example, making Jakarta a global city. Then the special kelurahan budget must also be called the numbers. "It is mandatory to have at least what percentage, I ask for this because it is the APBD, if it is mandatory then it is only 1 percent, it's useless, sir, so it's cloudy," he said. Darmadi then mentioned the Jakarta issue that must be resolved, such as traffic jams and floods. According to Darmadi, these two unfinished problems could hinder Jakarta from becoming a global city. "Other things are also like that, sometimes Jakarta cannot be separated from the problem of traffic jams. The year is not finished. Why? Because there is no special authority given so that it can get out of there. And it becomes the pressure of the existing oligarchs to play a role there. Because it is not the specificity given, "explained Darmadi. "If it can't be solved, it's out of floods and congestion, which can be a good global city," he continued.
