Prabowo: Defense Cooperation With Japan Is Getting Stronger

JAKARTA - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said the defense cooperation between Indonesia and Japan would strengthen.

This was said by Prabowo when receiving the arrival of the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Masaki Yasushi at the Ministry of Defense office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 13.

"I consider this meeting as proof of strong cooperation between the two countries," Prabowo said when meeting Masaki in his upload on the official Instagram account @kemhanri quoted by ANTARA.

In the upload, several photos of the meeting between Prabowo wearing a long white shirt and Masaki wearing a black coat can be seen.

During the meeting, Prabowo also discussed several things with Masaki, including the military cooperation program which is expected to continue.

Defense Minister Prabowo also asked the Japanese Government to continue the joint personnel exchange program and military training program.

Not only that, Prabowo also asked Japan to jointly commit to defense industry cooperation by making technology exchanges. Thus, defense technology between the two sides can be stronger and more advanced.

Prabowo hopes that this collaboration will strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan.
