January Winter Transfer Exchange Period In Europe's Top League

JAKARTA - The winter transfer market in January 2025 promises to be a busy period as clubs seek to strengthen themselves in an effort to win trophies or survive.

Clubs in all leagues can still recruit players as free agents after the deadline and as long as they are not officially tied to any club on Monday, February 3, 2025.

An agreement can be agreed between leagues and different transfer markets. The deal will be formally finalized when the recruitment club transfer window opens.

The following is the time span for the winter market in Europe's top league.

Premier League Transfer Exchange

The Premier League transfer market opened on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The winter window will last until Monday, February 3, at 11 p.m. (GMT).

Although on January 31, 2025, it falls on Friday, all of Europe's top leagues have agreed to extend the deadline until after the weekend.

La Liga Transfer Exchange

The La Liga window officially opened on Thursday, January 2, 2025 and closed on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11 pm (GMT).

Serie A Transfer Exchange

Bundesliga Transfer Exchange

The Bundesliga window opened on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 and will be closed on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 5 pm (GMT).

Ligue Transfer Exchange 1

Ligue 1 opened its transfer window on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 and will close on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 10 pm (GMT).

In addition to Europe's top leagues, the windows of a number of other leagues are also open and the time will coincide.

This allows European players or vice versa to transfer across continents.

MLS Transfer Exchange (Major League Soccer)

The MLS transfer window for the 2025 season officially opened on Friday, January 31, 2025 with the first match on February 22, 2025 between Inter Miami and New York City.

The first window closed on April 23, 2025.
