Police Arrest 18 Perpetrators Of Intergroup Clashes In Mangga Dua Selatan

A total of 18 brawlers in the Sawah Besar area were arrested by a joint team against the Central Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday, March 13. The perpetrators were arrested along with various sharp weapons.

The perpetrators of the brawl held their actions on Jalan Mangga Dua Selatan, RT 07/07, Mangga Dua Selatan Village, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta. The brawl also went viral on social media.

"Currently, 18 suspected brawlers have been arrested and are still in the process of being investigated," said Sawah Besar Police Chief, Kompol Dhanar Dhono Vernandhie when confirmed, Wednesday, March 13.

The perpetrator's brawl was caught on CCTV cameras in the area. They attacked each other with sharp weapons, as well as firecrackers.

"We confiscated sickles and firecrackers and other weapons," he said.

Previously, it was reported that two groups suspected of being gangsters were involved in attacking each other using sharp weapons, arrows and Molotov cocktails in the Mangga Dua Selatan area, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta.

The action was caught on CCTV cameras in the area. They attacked each other using sharp weapons of sickles and arrows.

Kapolsek Sawah Besar Kompol Dhanar Dhono Vernandhie denied any intergangster clashes. According to him, the clashes were just a commotion between youths in the local RW.

"Not a gangster, just a youth dispute around the RW," he said when confirmed, Tuesday, March 12.
