NasDem Gives A Signal Not To Candidate Anies Baswedan In The DKI Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party gave a signal that it would not nominate Anies Baswedan to run in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub). This is because NasDem has pocketed the names who will be appointed as candidates for governor of DKI. "So far, the NasDem Party has submitted several names, yes, of course we will ask the public for them to be discussed later," said the chairman of the NasDem Party DPP, Taufik Basari at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Thursday, March 7. It is known that NasDem has brought Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. For the 2024 Pilkada, the party chaired by Surya Paloh intends to nominate its own cadres. Such as the General Treasurer who is also Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, Chairman of the NasDem Faction of the DKI DPRD Wibi Andrino, and former DPR member Okky Asokawati. "There is Sahroni, for example, there is Wibi Andrino, there is Okky Asokawati, there are other names that we also answer to the public," said Tobas. Nevertheless, Tobas said his party would still see political dynamics going forward. So far, he said, these names are still in the internal discourse of the party.
