MK Grand Simulation Of The Trial For Handling Election Result Dispute Cases

JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) held a grand accumulation of support for the handling of the 2024 General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case which was attended by the PHPU Case Handling Task Force.

The grand simulation was opened directly by the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo, as well as providing briefing to the task force. The entire stage of handling PHPU is simulated, starting from pre-registration of cases to post-decision.

"The Grand Simulation of PHPU for the Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections as well as the Election of Members of the DPR, DPRD, and DPD takes place according to the stages, starting from pre-registration, post-registration, and post-decision," said Head of the Legal Bureau of Administration and Registry of the Constitutional Court Fajar Laksono as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 6.

According to Fajar, pre-registration simulations consist of application submissions, file verification, registration, and application data processing, to trial preparations, which are connected with post-registration simulations including submission of copies of applications, trial calls, trials, and simulation stages after the PPPU decision.

"During the simulation, several employees acted as applicants by being asked to show their identity, then took the serial number of application applications (NUPP), submitted files, and verified the file on the registration desk. Furthermore, the file was processed by the officer according to the role and function," said Fajar.

Fajar, who is also the spokesperson for the Constitutional Court, explained that the timeframe for submitting the PHPU application to the Constitutional Court is for the presidential election (pilpres) no later than three days after the announcement of the election for votes by the KPU, while for legislative elections (elections) no later than 3x24 hours after the announcement of the votes acquired by the KPU.

The simulation was also attended by the Director of Political and Law Enforcement Supervision of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Ikhwan Mulyawan to explain the strengthening of the government's internal control system and risk management and present case data statistics.

In addition, the Main Secretary of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Atqo Mardiyanto was also present. On that occasion, he presented statistical processing of case data for the results of the 2024 General Election.

The Constitutional Court is indeed preparing to handle PHPU in 2024. Previously, Fajar said the agency made special preparations because the election was a big five-year celebration. MK wants to ensure that the process of handling the PHPU case is successful and smooth," said Fajar in Jakarta (21/2).

Various preparations have been made by the Constitutional Court, including from the regulatory side, infrastructure, to human resources (HR) for security coordination. MK is moderate and has prepared regulations, facilities and infrastructure, budgets, human resources (oil and task forces) for security coordination, and will conduct final simulations of case handling in the first week of March," he said.
