The Police Have Not Yet Determined The Suspect Of PPDS Undip Bullying

SEMARANG - The Central Java Regional Police (Polda) have not yet named a suspect in the case of alleged bullying in the Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS) of the Diponegoro University (Undip) Semarang School of Medicine.

Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, Kombes Dwi Subagio, said that his party was careful in handling cases that had gone up to investigations since October 2024.

"The police need caution in handling this case," said Dwi as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 19.

According to him, there were no obstacles in handling the case. So far, 31 witnesses and 3 experts have been questioned in the investigation of the case.

Dwi said that in the near future there will be legal certainty related to the determination of the suspect in this case.

PPDS student at the Faculty of Medicine, Undip Semarang, died allegedly of committing suicide at his boarding house, Lempongsari Street, Semarang City, Central Java.

The death of the victim with the initials AR, which was found on August 12, 2024, is suspected to be related to bullying where he studied.

AR's family has reported the alleged bullying to the Central Java Police on September 4, 2024.

The handling of the case has been upgraded to an investigation status since October 2024 even though no suspect has been named.
