JAKARTA - Member of the PKB faction of the DPR, Luluk Nur Hamidah, commented on the absence of the PPP and NasDem regarding the application for the right to inquiry at the DPR in yesterday's plenary meeting. According to Luluk, PPP and NasDem have not yet spoken because the idea of right to inquiry in parliament has not been officially conveyed.
"Yesterday it was just an announcement, so it was a warming up," Luluk said when met at the Nusantara V Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Wednesday, March 6.
Luluk explained that the proposal for the right of inquiry in the interruption of the plenary meeting was still an opinion that it was not the official attitude of the factions. Because, he said, many people expressed their aspirations regarding the revolving of this right to inquiry.
"So yesterday's plenary meeting was the opening session after we had a recess. But because there are so many aspirations and outside the DPR building there are also so many friends from students, previously also from the professor's academy, and many have left the DPR not to be silent, the DPR has time to take political steps because this is indeed a political step," explained Luluk.
"If it's said to be with the law, it's next door. There are also technical issues related to it," he continued.
In the context of this right of inquiry, the Central Java electoral district legislator considered that there was a need for a thorough investigation into allegations of fraud or abuse of power that occurred in the 2024 General Election.
"Let everything be a bright spot. If there is, it is not the faction, because this is the member's right, so this can be proposed by individual members, at least 25 people must but indeed have to cross factions. So I think we will wait for them as soon as possible," he said.
Luluk believes that in the near future the proposal for the right of inquiry will surface in the DPR RI. Including PPP and NasDem will also immediately take a stand on the right of inquiry.
"But I think a few weeks before we opened the trial yesterday, three secretary generals from different parties had met and they also have a commitment to respond to public expectations for this right of inquiry. So I think this is only a matter of time to respond to public expectations. this is a matter of inquiry," he concluded.
