BIAK - The Biak Numfor Regency Government (Pemkab), Papua, received an additional 389 Government Employee teachers with Work Agreements (PPPK) to be placed in schools in the local area. "The formulation is 491 PPPK teachers but 389 teachers are filled. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the employee identification number and the placement decree from the Regent of Biak Numfor Herry Ario Naap," said Head of the Biak Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) Numfor Kamaruddin in Biak, Antara, Monday, March 4. He said that the addition of PPPK teachers really helped the Biak Numfor Regency Government to fill the formation of retired ASN teachers. Of the hundreds of PPPK teachers who received the 2023 formation, according to Kamaruddin, the placement will be prioritized in schools in suburban villages. In addition, the placement of PPPK teachers was prioritized in schools that lacked teaching staff because they had retired, were unable to stay, and died. "The presence of PPPK teachers is very much needed to support the smooth running of teaching and learning activities in various schools," said Kamaruddin. Meanwhile, Head of the Basic and Secondary Education Division of Disdikbud Biak Japosman Situmorang hopes that PPPK teachers who have sent biodata for managing employee identification numbers are asked to continue to carry out teaching duties for certain school students. "The placement of the location of the teaching school will be determined in accordance with the Decree of the Regent of Biak Numfor Herry Ario Naap," said Japosman.

Of the 389 PPPK teachers received, according to him, most of them are still carrying out teaching duties in various educational units.
