Palestinian Children Successfully Create Electricity With Mini Wind Turbin

GAZA - Despite living in exile as a result of being attacked by Israel, 15-year-old Al-Attar remains creative and has enthusiasm. This Palestinian child managed to meet his electrical needs with the mini wind turbine he made.

People call me Newton from Gaza' because of my breakthrough and I like to explore. When we make something, we try it. So, when we do something, I make something bigger than it," said Al-Attar, quoted from Anodulu.

He said his idea to create wind turbines had been achieved for the first 20 days after he came to a refugee camp in Rafah, which didn't get electricity.

We lived in the dark for the first 20 days. My idea was to light up the place. So, I brought a fan and put it up. With wind speed and the start of winter, this light was on. The first attempt was unsuccessful. The second effort was a little successful. Third effort, finally succeeded," he said.

"Finally I made three attempts and managed to light up the place, but it didn't go on. Blow it, every time the wind blows, the place is clear."

When the wind speed decreased, now there are things missing to complete the project. I couldn't find an electricity store in the Rafah area to buy storage devices," added the 15-year-old.

He said, 'We lived in the dark for the first 20 days. My idea was to light up the place. So, I brought a fan and installed it.'

Israel has been attacking the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian Hamas group in October, which is believed to have killed nearly 1,200 Israelis.
