JAKARTA - Rain that has fallen since the night has affected a number of areas in Central Jakarta. One of them is in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta. In Cempaka Putih, the flood inundation was evenly distributed in three urban villages on Thursday, February 29.

Head of the Water Resources (SDA) Implementation Unit (Kasatpel) of Cempaka Putih District, Subandi, said that floods in the Cempaka Putih area were evenly distributed in three urban villages.

"East Cempaka Putih, West Cempaka Putih and Rawasari villages are all evenly flooded," Subandi said when confirmed, Thursday, February 29.

Subandi said that his party had deployed officers and all water pumps were working optimally. The occurrence of flooding was due to high rainfall and water shipments in the Utan Kayu River.

"All pumps are still suctioning water. Pump capacity starts from 500 cubic meters per second to 1500 cubic meters per second," he said.

Meanwhile, Budi, one of the motorists, said that the flood this morning made his motorbike strike, so he was late for work. Not only Budi, but other motorists also experienced the same thing.

"Earlier I forced it to break through because there was no other way. Yes, this is the end, my motorbike broke down," he said.

Please note, flooding in Cempaka Putih is evenly distributed in three urban villages. Big roads, such as Suprapto and Ahmad Yani on the slow lane, can no longer be passed because they are flooded with adult knee levels. In addition, Jalan Cempaka Putih Barat 26, Cempaka Putih Tengah Street, and residential roads are flooded a lot.
