The Chairman Of The KPK Will Study The Dalil Hakim Who Aborted The Status Of Suspect Eddy Hiariej

JAKARTA - The interim chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nuawawi Pomolango said his party would further study the judge's decision on the pretrial lawsuit of former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej alias Eddy Hiariej and former Director of PT Citra Lampia Mandiri, Helmut Hermawan.

"We will summon the Head of Legal Bureau representing the KPK there to convey what the arguments are, the arguments that are used as the basis for considering the judge's decision and what we will take next," Nawawi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 27.

Nawawi said that his party had not yet taken legal steps regarding the judge's decision on Eddy Hiariej's pretrial, because he was still waiting for the judge's decision on Helmut Hermawan's pretrial.

So with the issuance of the pretrial decision, the KPK can immediately take further legal steps.

"Yesterday we were still waiting for Helmut's pretrial, but if there was a decision product, I have already conveyed it," he said.

On this day, the South Jakarta District Court decided that the KPK's determination of Helmut Hermawan as a suspect in the bribery of former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej alias Eddy Hiariej was invalid because it did not fulfill two valid pieces of evidence.

"Granted the applicant's pretrial petition in part and declared the suspect to be named the applicant by the defendant invalid," said South Jakarta District Court Tunggal Judge Tumpanuli Marbun in Jakarta when reading the pretrial lawsuit verdict on Tuesday (27/2).

The judge had the same view so that what the KPK investigators had done by determining the respondent as a suspect did not have legal force.

"This case does not stand alone and is paired with the giver and recipient, so the treatment of legal application does not discriminate it," he said.

Previously, the South Jakarta District Court (PN) Judge also decided that the former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej (EOSH) alias Eddy Hiariej by the KPK was invalid.

This was decided by single judge Estiono in a hearing to read the verdict held at the South Jakarta District Court, Jakarta, Tuesday (30/1).

"In the exception, it states that the defendant's exception is unacceptable," said Estiono.

Eddy is one of the suspects named by KPK investigators in the alleged bribery case for administrative management without going through procedures at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Apart from Eddy, the other suspects are lawyer Yosi Andika Mulyadi (YAM) and personal assistant Eddy, Yogi Arie Rukmana (YAR). Meanwhile, another person, namely the President Director of PT Citra Lampia Mandiri (CLM) Helmut Hermawan (HH) has been detained by the anti-corruption commission.
