Police Examine 8 Witnesses In The Case Of Alleged Harassment Of The Chancellor Of Pancasila University

JAKARTA - The alleged sexual harassment case involving the Chancellor of Pancasila University with the initials ETH is still being investigated. Polda Metro Jaya has examined 8 witnesses including the reporter.

"In the LP, sister RZ has examined 8 witnesses including the victim," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Monday, February 26.

However, it did not specify who had been examined in the process of investigating the alleged sexual harassment case.

It was only conveyed that the 8 witnesses were parties who knew about the alleged harassment involving the Chancellor of Pancasila University.

Regarding the form of harassment reported, Ade also has not detailed it. It is said that investigators will investigate this matter.

"Of course it was explained in the incident report, but I briefly explained that the reported incident was an incident of sexual harassment. This must be investigated by investigators," said Ade.

In handling the case, ETH as the reported party was originally scheduled to provide information today.

But for certain reasons, he asked for a postponement. Investigators granted and rescheduled it on Thursday, February 29.

Meanwhile, ETH was reported by two parties. One of them is RZ who is an employee at Pancasila University. The report is registered with the number LP/B/193/I/2024/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, dated January 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, the other LPs are delegations from Bareskrim Polri. Currently, the two reports are still in the process of being investigated.

The Chancellor of Pancasila University is suspected of violating Article 6 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS).
