West Java Acting Governor Ensures Aid For Damaged Houses Due To Tornadoes Of Rancaekek And Sumedang

Acting Governor of West Java Beyxi Machmudin confirmed that he was looking for a solution for houses and factories damaged by a tornado in Rancaekek, Bandung and Jatinagor Regencies, Sumedang.

For damaged houses, the government will receive government assistance from the Sumedang Regency Government Unexpected Expenditure Budget (BTT).

"Meanwhile, for companies or factories that have been damaged, the Regent of Sumedang will talk to Apindo and 14 companies affected by the disaster," Bey said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 23.

Regarding this disaster, the local government will determine an emergency response status. He also stated that he had received a report from the Acting Regent of Sumedang regarding this matter.

"The Regent of Sumedang will immediately determine an emergency response," he said.

Puting beliung hit the Bandung Regency and Sumedang Regency areas on Wednesday (21/2). West Java BPBD data, five sub-districts were affected by the disaster in the two areas, namely Jatinangor District, Cimanggung District, Cileunyi District, Rancaek District, and Cicalengka District.

In Sumedang Regency, West Java BPBD detailed that there were 13 units of factories and 10 houses damaged in the moderate category, while in Bandung Regency, 18 factories and shops were damaged, as well as 503 houses damaged with mild to heavy categories.

In addition, 12 people were injured in Sumedang Regency and 413 families were affected, as well as 21 injured and 422 families affected in Bandung Regency due to the disaster.

The injured residents were rushed to the Cicalengka Hospital and the Family Welfare Hospital (RSKK).
