President Jokowi Distributes 1,000 Rice Food Social Assistance Packages In Maros

President Joko Widodo discussed with residents of Beneficiary Families (KPM) in the process of distributing the first 1,000 Government Rice Reserve Packages (CBP) in Maros SulselANTARA/Darwin Fatir.

MAKASSAR - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) distributed 1,000 packages of government Rice Reserve food assistance (CBP) in the first phase to Beneficiary Families (KPM) during a working visit to Perum Bulog Batangase Warehouse, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi.

"Ladies and gentlemen, have you received 10 kilos of rice? January has received it, February has received it, March will receive it again, which will not be received yet. April will receive it again, May will receive it again, and June will receive it again, which does not agree to appoint a finger," said President Jokowi when greeting representatives of beneficiaries in Maros as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 22.

President Jokowi said that from January to June 2024 the KP Makan was given 10 kilograms of rice per month. However, starting from July 2024, he said, he would see the ability of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

"Later, after June I will see the APBN first. If it's enough, but I don't promise," said President Jokowi with a smile.

In addition to asking about CBP food assistance, President Jokowi also asked whether the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) had been received. Residents answered that they had been received and there were also answered that they had not. "There are those who have received it, because not all of them. But, soon they will leave the BLT in the amount of Rp. 200 thousand, Rp. 200 thousand (Rp. 600), but I don't know here, ladies and gentlemen here, I don't know everything, I don't know," said the President when interacting with residents.

President Jokowi said the government provided BLT assistance to 22 million recipients.

"But those who are given BLT 22 million recipients. Because they are given 10 kilos (rice) with BLT, sometimes some are the same and sometimes not the same one given 10 kilos with BLT, can be the same or not the same," he said.
