Before Being Inaugurated As Minister Of ATR At The Palace, AHY Asked For SBY's Blessing In Cikeas

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) asked for the blessing of his father, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in Cikeas, Bogor, on Tuesday, February 20 evening.

This was done by AHY before being inaugurated as minister of agrarian and spatial planning (ATR)/head of the national land agency at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 21.

"Last night, AHY met Mr. SBY who had just arrived in Cikeas, to ask for his blessing in a new assignment as ATR/BPN minister," said SBY's personal secretary and Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Ossy Dermawan in a written statement, Wednesday, February 21.

He said SBY had approved his eldest son to become the minister of ATR. "Mr. SBY has prayed and given his blessing to Mas AHY in carrying out the country's duties in the future," he said.

Ossy said that SBY was unable to attend the inauguration of AHY as the minister of ATR/head of BPN at the State Palace because he had just arrived from the visit of Central Java and East Java.

"Mr. SBY himself was not present at the inauguration today because he had just arrived in Cikeas from a trip to Central Java and East Java," he explained.

It is known that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate the coordinating minister for politics, law and security (Menko Polhukam) and the minister of agrarian and spatial planning (ATR)/head of the National Land Agency (BPN) at 10.00 WIB at the State Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday afternoon.

Jokowi will inaugurate Hadi Tjahjanto as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
