NTB KPU Denies Postponement Of Plenary PPK To Vote

The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Nusa Tenggara denied delaying the plenary meeting on the recapitulation of vote count results in the PPK to raise the votes of participants in the 2024 General Election.

"It's not true. Sirekap is just a tool. If it can't be used back to C, the results. What's the reference for Sirekap if it produces a lot of inappropriate numbers so that we go back to C according to the results of the PPK recap," said NTB KPU commissioner Halidy in Mataram as reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 19.

He emphasized that the postponement of the plenary meeting at the District Election Committee (PPK) level was due to data cleaning at the KPU Sirekap due to the many cyber attacks that entered the system.

"Hundreds of millions of attacks on Sirekap. That's the cause. There is no problem just cleaning up Sirekap data," he said.

The delay in the recap of the PPK is nothing but the normalization of the wrong data that comes in.

"So there are indeed many cyber attacks. Hundreds of millions of cyber attacks. So this is cleaned up," he said.

The Sirekap improvement is to match the plenary results in PPK. Because what happens is that the C1 copy results photographed by KPPS rarely get according to what is written.

"The scribbled X, X read 88. What Z scribbled was read 7. So this is all wrong. That's why it was cleaned first," he explained.

Halidy emphasized that Sirekap could not provide convincing results on the votes acquired by the legislative candidates. So far, many numbers have changed.

"A million (varying) to one hundred, one hundred to a thousand. So that all return to C Results as a reference," he explained.

Therefore, the KPU appealed to the legislative candidates to wait for the results of the manual recap. Because, according to him, this Sirekap cannot be a reference for the number of votes for the election participants.

"Just wait for the results of the manual recap," he said.

His party ensured that on February 20 the data that was cleaned in Sirekap could return to normal, so that the PPK at the sub-district level could continue the recapitulation again.

"The Indonesian KPU Datin Team carried out the cleaning. A two-day takedown was carried out so that the 20th was normal," he said.
