The BTS Corruption Handling Process Is Still Continuing For The Sake Of Saving State Finances

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, emphasized that the handling of the BTS 4G BAKTI Kominfo corruption case is still ongoing, starting from investigation, filing to trial.

"The investigative team is still investigating several parties, so it is possible that they will conduct an investigation into the corporation suspected of being involved in this case," said Ketut, quoting Antara, Sunday, February 18.

Ketut ensured that the public's hope that the Attorney General's Office would continue to thoroughly investigate the BTS 4G Bakti Kominfo corruption case was followed up, it was proven that the case was still in progress until now.

"This whole process is carried out to save state finances," he said.

Regarding the determination of the new suspect, Ketut said that this was the full authority of the investigative team as stipulated in Article 183 of the Criminal Procedure Code, namely by digging up all evidence revealed in the investigation and trial process.

"In terms of building a juridical construction and proof for case development, it really depends on the evidence in the investigation process and what was revealed in court," he said.

Ketut emphasized that the Attorney General's Office was not stagnant or stopped in investigating cases that cost the state finances Rp8.32 trillion.

"As long as the evidence is sufficient, anyone will still be investigated for the development of the case," said Ketut.

This case involved 16 people as suspects.

Of the 16 suspects, six suspects have been in the appeal-level trial process, namely Anang Achmat Latif, Yohan Suryanto, Gelumbang Menak Simanjuntak, Mukti Ali, Irwan Hermawan, and Johnny G Plate. Next, Windy Purnama and Muhammad Yusriski Muliawan are also in the first instance of trial.

Other suspects, namely Jemmy Sutjiawan, Elvano Hatorangan, M Ferriandi Mirza, Walbertus Natalius Wisang (suspects Article 21), Naek Parulian Washington Hutahaean or Edward Hutahaean (suspects Article 15) and Sadikin Rusli (suspects Article 15).

Furthermore, the 15th suspect with the initials MAK is the Head of Public Relations Development UI and Achsanul Qosasih, a member of the Indonesian BKP.
