Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Concerning KPPS Members Fatigue To Death: There Must Be An Evaluation Of The Election System

JAKARTA - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto assessed that there must be an evaluation of the voting system in the election so that the process is not tiring for officials of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) which leads to death.

Although from his observation the 2024 election series went smoothly and smoothly, Bima Arya assessed that there was a need for an evaluation of the system so that at the next event the KPPS officers would no longer fall.

"I think we really need to evaluate a system like this. Every five years there are mass victims? I think that's a record," he said in Bogor City, quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 17.

The day before, Bima Arya visited officers from the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) who were being treated in several hospitals after the 2024 General Election.

Based on the latest data on Thursday, February 15, the Bogor City Health Office (Dinkes) noted that 25 election organizers had been sick and treated by health workers, even five of whom were hospitalized.

"There are records or things that must be considered are our brothers who are sick today, tired, tired. I looked up some yesterday, because it was extraordinary that our friends at the KPPS were so heavy," said Bima Arya.

From the narrative of the KPPS officers he visited, most of these officers were reverberated since a week before voting day on February 14, 2024. In fact, Bima Arya said, KPPS officers only sleep one to two hours every night.

Sekretaris Dinkes Kota Bogor Erna Nuraena mengatakan, 25 pasien ini masing-masing mengalami sakit berbeda.
