JAKARTA - The BEM Alliance throughout DKI Jakarta asks all students to exercise their voting rights in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). Thus, the younger generation has a role in determining the figure of the nation's leader. This was conveyed by Legal Practitioner Nur Fikri during a discussion event “ Student Come to TPS, Youth Determinant of the 2024 General Election, at Upnormal Cafe, Jalan Raden Saleh, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, February 13 "We as citizens who have been given the opportunity to choose, why should we be wasted like that," said Nur Fikri. According to him, all Indonesian people have the rights in the same constitution to choose a leader. Thus, students are asked to exercise their rights. "Of course, my friends have other than constitutional rights, my friends also have basic mandate, what is the basic mandate of a student, namely Tri Dharma," he said. In addition, activists who care about democracy Asep Ubaidillah said students must exercise their rights on February 14. Moreover, students are Generation Z and Millennials who are the majority votes in the moment of the 2024 General Election.

"It is very important that the presence of young people today, we as the younger generation are not only limited to choosing that way," said Asep.
