AHY Expects Prabowo-Gibran's Last Campaign To Convince Voters

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) hopes that the last campaign of candidate pair number 2 Prabowo-Gibran can provide more confidence for people who have not made a choice.

"Hopefully this campaign can provide completeness or confidence for those who still make their choice on the last day," said the man who is familiarly called AHY after Prabowo-Gibran's last campaign event "People's Party: For Advanced Indonesia", Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 10.

AHY explained that the results of the latest survey by Indonesian Political Indicators showed an electability of 51.8 percent. This figure has passed the minimum threshold of 50 percent plus one vote to win the presidential election in one round.

Therefore, he continued, the Forward Indonesia Coalition will not stop to convince prospective voters to choose Prabowo-Gibran until the voting day on February 14.

"We, the Forward Indonesia Coalition, will certainly not stop and will convince until February 14. For the sake of a better leadership relay," he said.

"We really want to present a leader who can make Indonesia more advanced. Of course we really want to convince the Prabowo-Gibran pair to win one round," he added.

On Friday (9/2), Indonesian Political Indicators released the results of their latest survey which was conducted from January 28 to February 4, 2024, which was carried out using face-to-face methods involving 1,200 base respondents and over-sampling in certain areas up to 5,500 respondents. Margin of Error in the range of 2.9 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.

The survey results show that the Prabowo-Gibran pair took the lead in first place and managed to cross the one-round winning threshold with an electability of 51.8 percent.

The next rank is occupied by the Anies-Muhaimin pair who have 24.1 percent electability and Ganjar-Mahfud is in third place with 19.6 percent electability.

Meanwhile, voters who stated they did not know / did not answer / disclosed as much as 4.5 percent.
