JAKARTA - The fire in the furniture warehouse in the Kalideres area, West Jakarta, since Thursday, February 8 morning has finally been extinguished on Thursday afternoon. The fire was successfully extinguished by hundreds of Gulkarmat officers at around 14.00 WIB.

"Currently, the blackout process is complete. The final deployment of fire engines is 23 units with the deployment of 115 personnel," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmar Sub-dept., Syarifudin when confirmed, Thursday, February 8, afternoon.

The difficulty of the extinguishing process is due to the large amount of flammable material so that the fire gets bigger and spreads to other buildings. Meanwhile, the water supply is sufficient so that the fire can be tamed by officers.

"Now the status is green. The alleged cause of the fire is still in the process of being investigated by the authorities," he said.

The total loss due to the furniture factory fire is not yet known. After extinguishing and cooling the fire, officers are still collecting data.
