Not Wanting To Participate In Jokowi's Status At PDIP, Kaesang Opens Wide Doors To Join PSI

WONOGIRI - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said his party opened the door wide for President Joko Widodo to join the party he leads.

Kaesang said this was in response to the statement by the Chairman of the Surakarta City PDI-P DPC FX Hadi Rudyatmo who said Jokowi was no longer considered a cadre of the white-nosed bull party.

"We are wide open (the opportunity) for the President (Jokowi) to join," said Kaesang after the "PSI Mawar Melawan Grand Campaign" in Wonogiri Regency, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

Regarding the certainty of Jokowi's status in the PDI-P, Kaesang said it was a matter of the "kitchen" of their respective parties.

"That's back to them (PDI-P). That's the kitchen management of other parties. I don't want to interfere," added Jokowi's youngest son.

Previously, on Saturday (3/2), Jokowi met with Kaesang in the Braga area, Bandung City, West Java. On that occasion, Jokowi appreciated I because the party was able to accommodate young people and fight for a good and clean government.

Jokowi also mentioned PSI as a party that dared to speak out loud, for example while in the DPRD.

"Also dare to speak up; what I am happy about is yesterday's main thing, which was in the DPRD, whose voice was loud. Dare to give criticism to provide input," said Jokowi.

If PSI is able to maintain this, Jokowi believes that the party can pass the parliamentary threshold to the DPR RI in the 2024 General Election.

"I think it's very good and I believe that his spirit is like this, he can enter, yes, he can enter Senayan," said Jokowi.
