Attorney General Lantik Kapuspenkum Ketut Sumedana Becomes Kajati Bali

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, was inaugurated by Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin as Head of the Bali High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati).

Apart from Ketut, the Attorney General also inaugurated Kajati DKI Jakarta which was entrusted to Narendra Jatnah.

In his mandate, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin reminded the two High Prosecutors, namely DKI Jakarta and Bali, to be a national law enforcement storefront.

The DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, he said, includes the epicenter of the government and the economy.

"Therefore, it requires a law enforcement process that is not pragmatic, but must be held normatively and juridically accountable," said Burhanuddin.

Then the Bali Prosecutor's Office, he continued, as the epicenter of tourism and Indonesia's face abroad requires a preventive and humanist law enforcement paradigm. However, remain firm in providing justice, legal certainty, and benefits in order to realize a sense of security and peace.

"I advise new officials to be able to observe the needs of law enforcement with their respective regional character," said Burhanuddin.

In addition, Burhanuddin also reminded the two newly appointed Kajatis to strengthen leadership and managerial aspects equipped with horizontal and vertical communication capabilities to realize harmonization between agencies or agencies.

"Synergistic but still firm without friction," he said.

Burhanuddin also said that every promotion and mutation process within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office was always accompanied by an evaluation process, careful consideration and objective assessment as the basis for placing credible Adhyaksa apparatus, adequate capability and quality.

"The placement of certain positions is carried out in accordance with the needs of the organization in order to achieve optimal performance," he said.

In addition to being optimal, he said, law enforcement is also carried out which is fair and beneficial for the interests of society, nation and state.

Burhanuddin is optimistic that the officials of Kajati DKI and Kajati Bali who are currently inducted in the right position and will provide positive benefits for the realization of a professional, modern, mature Prosecutor's Office.

"And it's getting more and more trusted," he added.

On the other hand, Burhanuddin said, the inauguration of Kajati DKI Jakarta and Kajati Bali ahead of February 14 or the voting day for the 2024 General Election was a policy taken by taking into account the needs of an organizational work.

Therefore, Burhanuddin emphasized the neutrality of the Prosecutor's State Civil Apparatus as a fixed price. Because, there is no room for Adhyaksa people to follow practical politics.

"For this reason, I assign Kajati DKI Jakarta and Kajati Bali to ensure this (neutrality) in each work unit led," said Burhanuddin.

Meanwhile, Ketut Sumedana, apart from serving as Kajati Bali, has concurrent positions as Kapuspenkum of the Attorney General's Office, to a statement (SK) appointing the newly issued Kapuspenkum.

During his tenure, Ketut Sumedana will share time between Bali and Jakarta.
