2 TNI Soldiers And Residents Of KKB Shooting Victims In Dekai Yahukimo His Condition Is Stable

The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Adi Prabowo, said that the three victims of the shooting of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Dekai were in stable condition.

"The reports we received included that the three victims, including two members of the TNI, were in stable condition after receiving treatment from medical personnel at the Dekai Hospital," said Benny in Jayapura as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

The shooting by KKB occurred on Monday (5/2) at around 20.45 WIT around Jalan Siep Asso, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

The perpetrators who rode on motorbikes suddenly fired firearms at the victim.

Three people suffered gunshot wounds from each Soldier Head (Praka) Septiono Lawe and First Sergeant (Sertu)Ronaldo Abi, as well as a civilian named Dominius Nana.

"The incident began when it started when Dominius and Ronaldo were burning chickens at the house of one of the TNI members on Jalan Siep Asso which was located next to the Dekai Koramil, suddenly two perpetrators arrived and quickly fired weapons from about 20 meters away," explained the Head of Public Relations.

Meanwhile, the Yahukimo Police Chief AKBPHeru Hidayanto was separately contacted by ANTARA admitting that he could not confirm the group of perpetrators of the attack.

"Until now it is still being investigated, which group KKB," said the Police Chief.
