Anies Adds Kotamobagu To The Development List Of Dozens Of Developed Cities, Will Establish The First University

KOTAMOBAGU - presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan promised to include Kotamobagu City, North Sulawesi in the construction list for dozens of cities to become equivalent to Jakarta. This was conveyed by Anies during a grand campaign at Molinow Field, Kotamobagu City. Anies' statement was immediately greeted by the boisterousness of the people present. "We want there to be an equivalence of development. In fact, we plan to build more than 40 cities with increased potential, and it feels like the city of Mubagu can become one of the cities that is being improved," said Anies, Monday, February 5. Anies said that the Kotamobagu plan and dozens of other regions became developed cities in their vision and mission as presidential candidates paired with Muhaimin Iskandar aimed at equalizing development in Indonesia. "Jakarta has advanced, that's reality. But if today the government wants to build Indonesia, it should not only be built in one city in East Kalimantan, but build in all Indonesian cities. Increase these cities so that they become drivers of the economy," said Anies. Then, Anies also promised to establish the first university in Kotamobagu. This is because the former governor of DKI Jakarta received complaints that the people of Kotamobagu must go outside the area such as Manado if they want to receive higher education. "God willing, we will build a university here so that the children here can get a vocational school, can go to an academy school. They will be able to get an education without having to leave their hometowns long ago," said Anies. On that occasion, Anies also promised to consider the realization of expansion if he was elected President of the Republic of Indonesia. The issue of the expansion of Bolaang Mongondow Raya has been in the spotlight of the people of North Sulawesi since several years ago.

The proposals are that Bolaang Mongondow Raya Province will cover four areas, namely Bolaang Mongondow Regency, South Bolaang Mongondow, East Bolaang Mongondow, North Bolaang Mongondow, and Kotamobagu. "We are also aware of the aspirations regarding Bolaang Mongondow Raya. That is one of the things that God willing, we will consider to fight for," he concluded.
