JAKARTA Nokia seeks to assist the Indonesian government in expanding digital connectivity in various regions. As part of the company's commitment, Nokia has implemented various technological solutions.
Ming Kin Ngiam, Head of SEA South Network Infrastructure Sales Nokia, told VOI that they partnered with the Digital Synergy Solution (Surge) last July to provide reliable internet services to tens of millions of people.
This telecommunications company provides end-to-end network connectivity on the island of Java for 24 million households. They also plan to expand this high-speed network to other islands or rural areas that find it difficult to reach the internet.
"This collaboration will significantly bridge the digital gap because it is expected to have an impact on education by supporting distance learning," said Ming. "This collaboration encourages an increase in digital inclusion for future economic development."
In addition to partnering with Surge, Nokia also collaborated with Lintaarta last August. Through this partnership, Nokia supports the development of Data Center Interconnect (DCI) infrastructure for GPU-as-a-Service and multi-cloud access which includes Optical and IP layers.
Ming also explained that they implemented the IP 800GE super-core architecture with 800Gbps long-range optical solutions on integrated service routers. They also use optical network connectivity solutions to raise the awareness of quantum secure networks.
"The collaboration between Nokia and Lintaarta aims to target new premium services for customers including financial institutions, private companies, hyperscalers, the government's national security and defense network, as well as national data centers," said Ming.
To strengthen security or business in Indonesia, Nokia provides solutions such as the IPsec Security Gateway. There is also a DDoS security solution that combines large data IP analytics on a peyabyte scale with network routers that are claimed to be sophisticated.
With these various efforts and solutions, Nokia wants to show that they play a fairly important role in supporting digital transformation in Indonesia. They not only support the government, but also local businesses.
In seeking digital transformation, cyber attacks are a challenge that needs to be overcome. Ming said that they are willing to collaborate with local businesses in order to improve cybersecurity practices. Later, they will offer a special solution that is integrated with QSN technology to prevent quantum threats.
"By implementing QSN, Nokia can help companies protect sensitive data through layered cryptography security, ensuring that their network remains resilient to cyber attacks today and in the future," said Ming.
