JAKARTA - The Perseroda PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) confirmed that there was no written agreement between the company and the residents of the former Kampung Bayam, North Jakarta, regarding the residence of Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB), North Jakarta.
"So there is no official agreement decision that they will later inhabit KSB," said PT Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, February 5.
Iwan reiterated this in response to the 40 families who are still staying at KSB. Iwan said the company had previously given compensation money to residents whose buildings were torn down for the development of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) area, North Jakarta, which was determined by the consultant.
"We have implemented a kaedah on how to handle (treatment) residents affected by development through an action plan to lay off (resettlement action plan/RAP)," said Iwan.
According to Iwan, Jakpro involved independent consultants to review the impact of JIS development on local residents, as well as taking mitigation steps. One of them is about the impact of the lives of residents and their economy after the state land is taken for the public interest.
"It was all studied, finally one stage of the next action emerged is how for them to receive compensation as a result of the impact of the development, and it continues to be socialized and communicated with them," said Iwan.
The amount of compensation money varies depending on the ownership of buildings on state land which has an impact on their lives. There are those who only have housing, grocery store businesses, boarding houses, stalls, and so on.
So that each head of the family (KK) receives varying compensation based on the study. In addition, the company continues to carry out socialization accompanied by local regional officials, and they have even signed building compensation documents that they built on state land.
"They signed an official statement letter that they are ready to receive the compensation and leave the location no later than 30 days from there. Everything is done with correct governance, documented, communicated and made a report," explained Iwan.
In addition to getting compensation, they are also involved in the construction process to manage the canteen and receive job training. This effort was made so that local residents affected by the development could feel the positives.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is also present to handle the issue of Kampung Susun Bayam. Residents are also offered new housing in the form of Nagrak Flats in Cilincing, North Jakarta to get training on how to prepare for normal life again.
Previously, PT Jakpro ensured that the presence of the Nagrak Flat with a number of good and adequate facilities could be inhabited by residents of the former Kampung Bayam, Papanggo, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
Residents of the former Kampung Bayam occupy type 36 units in the Nagrak Flat which are equipped with two rooms, living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and balconys to dry clothes.
Other public facilities that can be enjoyed by residents include elevators, mosques, children's playgrounds, sports fields, motorcycle parking lots and school buses.
