JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) denied that the issue of handling hand arrest operations (OTT) had stalled even though the suspect had not announced it. Deputy Chairman of the KPK Alexander Marwata emphasized that all leaders agreed that this case would go up to the investigation stage. "It's not true. When the exposure of all leaders agree that the case has been raised to an investigation," Alexander told reporters quoted from his written statement, Monday, January 29. In fact, later the Regent of Sidoarjo Ahmad Muhdlor Ali will be summoned from the results of the exposure. However, Alexander has not specified when the "(the investigation was carried out, ed) with an order to immediately summon the regent and conduct an examination," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Sidoarjo on Friday, January 26. In this activity, a number of state civil servants (ASN) were reportedly brought along. The KPK explained that the silent operation was carried out related to the cut in payment of tax incentives and regional levies in Sidoarjo.
