Boyolali Residents Died Allegedly Shot By Unknown Person In Colomadu

A resident of Boyolali, Central Java, named Yudha Bagus Setiawan, was allegedly killed as a result of being shot by an unknown person while sweeping a gambling area in Tohudan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency.

Karanganyar Police Chief AKBP Jerrold Hendra Yosef Kumontoy confirmed the incident. But we cannot confirm who the shooter was.

"It's in the process. We haven't clearly pocketed it yet," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 27.

The police received the report on Friday (26/1) night.

"Yes, we received a report last night. However, everything is still in the process of being investigated, later when it is finished I will report it," he said.

Meanwhile, based on information in the field, at the time of the incident the victim and his colleagues were suspected of conducting a sweep of gambling in the Tohudan area. When they arrived at the location, they received resistance from an unknown group of people.

Public Relations of the Surakarta Islamic Community (LUIS) Laskar Endro Sudarsono admitted that he obtained this information through the WhatsApp group.

"The information is that he died while doing a sweep of gambling in Colomadu," he said.

Related to this, he asked the police to thoroughly investigate the incident.
