JAKARTA - Israeli Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, said Tel Aviv would continue his war in the Gaza Strip until the hostages detained by Hamas are completely released.

Speaking ahead of a meeting with British Foreign Minister David Cameron, Katz called Gaza's attack a "needed war" against Hamas and Iran's axis.

"We will not stop until all of our hostages are released and Hamas military and civilian capabilities are stripped -- in Gaza and anywhere else," he said on platform X.

Cameron arrived in Israel on Wednesday as part of a Middle East tour covering the West Bank, Qatar and Turkey to push for an immediate humanitarian break in fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Israel launched an attack on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7, killing more than 25,700 people. About 1,200 Israelis are believed to have died in the Hamas attack. Nearly 136 hostages are believed to have been detained by Hamas.

Israeli attacks have left 85 percent of Gaza's population displaced amid food shortages, clean water and medicines, while more than half of the infrastructure in the region has been damaged or destroyed, according to the United Nations.
