JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the Smart Indonesia Program was presented by the government so that no children would drop out of school due to the inability of the family economy. "I don't want our children to not go to school because their parents can't afford to pay. Everyone has to go to school," said President Jokowi during a speech on the agenda of handing over the Indonesia Smart Program Assistance in Blora Regency, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, January 23. At an activity attended by a number of parents of students, students, and students from the local area, President Jokowi motivated parents to keep sending their children to school, even in the midst of a limited family economic situation. "My father is also not the owner, my parents are also not the parents who had it at that time," said President Jokowi. To students, President Jokowi advised parents' professions, be it construction workers, drivers, or farmers, should not hinder children's right to go to school. According to President Jokowi, the government has presented the Smart Indonesia Card Program (KIP) as assistance for educational funds for underprivileged communities, ranging from elementary, junior high, high school/vocational school, to college levels. "Why is there such a thing as KIP for elementary, junior high, high school/vocational school, there is also a KIP Lecture card like this, so that our children are smart, all go to college. Don't think about the cost problem, because the government provides, both from KIP Lectures," he said. President Jokowi said human resources are the key to competition between countries and individuals, which in the future is not expected to be easier. "Why are the ladies and gentlemen, parents of our students invited us to accompany them, so that all of you participate in supervising our children, you have to study at school, you have to be diligent because the competition is getting tougher," said President Jokowi.

In addition to handing over the assistance of the Smart Indonesia Program, on that occasion President Jokowi also divided two bicycle units to students who were lucky to have a dialogue with the President on stage.
