JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the repair of the Purwodadi-Wirosari-Blora road in Central Java, as the implementation of the Regional Road Presidential Instruction (Inpres).

"This afternoon I inaugurate the implementation of the Purwodadi-Wirosari-Blora-Wulung Instruction to Klatak, and Randublatung to Getas in Blora Regency, all of them from the Regional Road Presidential Instruction budget," said President Jokowi when inaugurating the Regional Road Inpres in Blora Regency, Central Java, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 23.

The President detailed that the Regional Road Instruction budget for the improvement and construction of national roads in 2023 is allocated IDR 14.6 trillion.

Especially for Central Java Province, the government has budgeted IDR 1.36 trillion to repair and build 40 roads.

Blora Regency received a budget allocation for road repairs of IDR 257 billion.

The President also assessed that the benefits of implementing the Inpres on the Purwodadi-Wirosari-Blora Road can be directly felt by the community, because the road has been bumpy for years.

"Especially for Blora Regency, it received a budget of Rp. 257 billion. It is very large. Therefore, the road between Purwodadi and Blora, I have seen and felt for myself the road is very smooth. For years, usually the Solo-Purwoda road is always bumpy because of the dynamic soil," said the President.

The Head of State said that the repair of the Purwodadi-Blora road was built with concrete materials, instead of using asphalt.

"Although the price is more expensive, we choose concrete because it lasts longer and has a long life," said President Jokowi.
