PSI Candidate Billboard Case Collapses Over Motorcyclist In Cakung Already Peaceful, Victims Get Medical Costs

JAKARTA Drivers of victims of campaign props (APK) PSI candidates on Jalan KRT Radjiman Widyoningrat, Jatinegara, Cakung District, East Jakarta agreed to peace.

Chairman of the East Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Willem Johanes Wetik, said the case ended peacefully after the mediation process between the victim's family and PSI.

"The Panwas (Cakung District Election Supervisory Coast) has mediated between the victims, the legislative candidate accompanied by the LO (liasion officer)," Willem told reporters, Tuesday, January 23.

The results of the mediation, PSI candidates stated that they were responsible for covering the medical expenses of the two injured victims.

"Information from Panwas on medical expenses is borne," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the follow-up to efforts to prevent similar cases from happening again, East Jakarta Bawaslu appealed to all participants of the 2024 General Election to immediately discipline the illegal APB.

Chairman of the Cakung Panwascam, Acep Sabar added, his party continues to communicate to election participants regarding the installation of the APK.

"We will continue to communicate further so that they (participants of the 2024 General Election) grow awareness together. We continue to communicate," he said.
