Abdee Slank Is Not Alone, These Officials Have Resigned To Support Ganjar

JAKARTA - In about three weeks before the D day of the 2024 Presidential Election, support for candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD continued to emerge. Not only providing support, a number of officials were willing to resign from their positions in order to fight with Ganjar-Mahfud to win the 2024 presidential election.

The most recent is Abdi Negara, better known as Abdee Slank, resigned from the commissioner position at PT Telkom Tbk to support Ganjar-Mahfud.

"As of Friday afternoon at 5 pm I have sent a letter of resignation," said Abdee, at Slank headquarters, at Jl Potlot III, Duren Tiga, January 20 yesterday.

Abdee stated that his choice to resign from the commissioner position of the state-owned company was to respect rules and ethics.

"So that there will be no lies between us, I have sent a letter of resignation," said Abdee.

Abdee also stated that this step was part of Slank's struggle, which since 2014 has been consistent and committed to supporting reform in Indonesia.

By supporting Ganjar-Mahfud, said Abdee, he hopes that all corrupt practices, collusion, and nepotism will disappear from Indonesia as well as the ideals of reform.

"We also have to maintain democracy and in our opinion, the most appropriate thing for it is Pak Ganjar and Pak Mahfud," said Abdee.

In the declaration of support and information for Abdee's resignation which was attended directly by Ganjar-Mahfud, Slank and Slanker were said to have also conveyed a number of ideas and ideas to candidate pairs number 3. They named it the Love Revolution.

Abdee's resignation from the position of commissioner of BUMN adds to the long list of officials who relinquished their positions to join the ranks of supporters of Ganjar-Mahfud. Andi Widjajanto was previously the Governor of the National Defense Institute (Lemhanas) since 2022. He resigned from his position when he was asked to help Ganjar in the National Winning Team (TPN).

Andi announced his resignation from the position of Governor of Lemhanas on Monday (16/10/2023).

"When the TPN was registered with the KPU, I resigned as Governor of Lemhannas. The process will be fully submitted to the President through the Minister of State Secretary," said Andi at the time.

Andi said the only reason he resigned was to maintain Lemhannas neutrality and ensure that this institution was not involved in practical politics. Thus, it is hoped that Lemhanas will continue to carry out his duties well.

Andi Widjajanto joined the TPN Ganjar Presiden as Deputy 5.0 announced by the Chairman of TPN Ganjar, Arsjad Rasjid, at the High End Building, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/10/2023).

TPN Ganjar Presiden ini yang kemudian menjadi TPN Ganjar-Mahfud begitu Ketua Umum PDI Perjuangan Megawati Soekarnoputri pada Jumat (18/10/2023) mengumumkan Mahfud MD menjadi bakal calon wakil presider bagi Ganjar.

Eko Sulistyo is a former activist who was later mandated to become a Commissioner of PT PLN Tbk since October 16, 2020.

Eko sent a letter of resignation to the Ministry of SOEs on Thursday (26/10/2023) after admitting that the day before he received information about his appointment as Deputy Chair of TPN Ganjar-Mahfud even though it was announced by Arsjad on Wednesday (11/10/2023).

Eko said that his resignation was in accordance with applicable regulations related to commissioners at state-owned companies when he was a successful team of candidates in the democracy contestation.

Henry Yosodiningrat was previously a Commissioner of Mitratel or PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk, a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia since April 22, 2022. He announced his resignation on Friday (1/12/2023).

This resignation was acknowledged because it received direct directions from the candidate for vice president number 3, Mahfud MD, to strengthen the structure of TPN Deputy for Law Ganjar Mahfud.

Andi Gani Nena Wea resigned from his position as President Commissioner of PT PP Tbk on Friday (11/24/2023) after nine years in office.

"This is my personal struggle because it will support Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD's total," he said when announcing his resignation.
