Debate With Mahfud MD And Gus Imin, Gibran Still Respects Seniors

JAKARTA - The appearance of Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the vice presidential candidate (Cawapres) is considered to show the potential of the younger generation of Indonesia to play a role as a leader.

In a debate on Sunday night, January 21, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Central Jakarta, Maja Labs digital expert Adrian Zakhary praised Gibran Rakabuming's superior performance in all debate sessions.

"Cawapres 02 Gibran is unquestionable, of course very superior in all debate sessions, how can Gibran give various critical questions, answering with solutions not only short but long term," Adrian told VOI, Sunday, January 21.

Adrian also stated that the quality of Gibran Rakabuming is not only good at speaking, but also acts and consistently excels.

"Tonight's vice presidential debate shows the quality of young people who are not only good at speaking, but are superior in action, critical, consistent and downstreaming," he continued.

For Adrian, one of the keys to the progress of the nation is downstreaming. Gibran Rakabuming's ability to explain his vision and mission in debate is also an added value for him, where he competed with seniors such as Cak Imin and Mahfud MD.

"And one more thing, young people still give respect to seniors where Prof. Mahfud and Cak Imin, even though they argue but still respect and apologize if they are not pleased, I think this is Gibran's attitude", he said.

For Adrian, Gibran Rakabuming Raka's appearance in the vice presidential candidate debate proved his capacity as a strong young leader.

With the ability to communicate clearly and full of substance, Gibran not only shows his superiority in providing a structured response and long-term solution. However, said Adrian, also respecting fellow debaters, affirming the importance of downstreaming in the progress of the nation.

Adrian also said that this appearance marks the transformation of Indonesia's young generation in the political arena, where they are able to play an active role and make a significant contribution.

His presence on the debate stage is not only as a participant, but as a symbol of hope and progress, encouraging downstreaming as the main key to national development.

The 2024 Election Cawapres Debate took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Sunday, February 21, 2024. Six debate subthemes consist of sustainable development and a living environment, natural resources and energy, food, agrarians, indigenous peoples, and villages became a competition topic between Muhaimin Iskandar, Gibran Rakabuming, and Mahfud MD.
