The Person In Charge Of The Campaign Gets Ready To Be Examined By The Police If There Is A Sympathizer Using Brong Exhaust On A Motorbike

JAKARTA The police are aggressively controlling the use of Brong exhausts that are commonly used by users of two-wheeled and four-wheeled motorcycles. With various considerations, and there is an invitation to regulate, the police prohibit the use of Brong exhaust.

Moreover, in the near future the open campaign for the 2024 General Election will be held from January 21 to February 10, 2024. Therefore, the Central Java Police emphasized that campaign participants should not use Brong exhaust.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Satake Bayu Setianto, stated that the ban on the use of Brong exhausts has been regulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation and Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia number 56 of 2019 concerning the Mutual noise of Motorized Vehicles.

The Central Java Police have listed a ban on the use of Brong exhaust in the campaign permit. If there is a mass of campaign participants recklessly using Brong exhaust, then the person in charge of the campaign will be questioned," said Kombes Satake Bayu Setianto in a short message, Sunday, January 21.

Satake Bayu requested that this rule be obeyed by all campaign participants considering the impact of Brong exhaust which resulted in police voices and the potential to create conflicts among residents.

"Every violator who uses a Brong exhaust will be brought under control, including strict action in accordance with the law," he said.

Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi previously stated that over the past year he had given warnings and socialization to the public that Brong exhaust does not match specifications and disturbs the environment and public order.

"Hopefully, when the campaign opens, there will be no more masses using Brong exhaust vehicles," he said.
