JAKARTA The campaign props (APK) of political parties and legislative candidates (Caleg) installed do not match the designation in a number of public facilities continue to cause problems. The existence of APK on a number of roads often endangers motorcyclists.

City Planning Observer Nirwono Yoga criticized the rampant attributes of political parties and APK in Jakarta and did not comply with the rules.

According to Nirwono, the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) must take firm action by imposing sanctions on the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) contestants who are proven to have violated. The violations in question include the rules and regulations for the use of the APK.

"Bawaslu can impose strict sanctions on political parties (Parpol) or legislative candidates (Caleg) who are still violating, and install APK without heeding applicable regulations, damaging city visuals, and endangering public safety," said Nirwono Yoga when confirmed, Wednesday, January 17th.

Nirwono hopes that Bawaslu and Satpol PP will not be negligent in the matter. And also do not allow if there is a violation that continues. Efforts that need to be made include being obliged to revoke the APB which is considered a violation.

"Bawaslu and Satpol PP must have the courage to act decisively to immediately revoke the APB which is considered to endanger public safety such as those installed in cone, roadside, pedestrian bridge (JPO), fence," he said.

Previously, controlling campaign props (APK) that disturbed the city's aesthetics and the visibility of vehicles in East Jakarta was tough.

The East Jakarta Bawaslu said that later the APK settlement will be carried out at a point that violates the laws and regulations - the invitation will be carried out by the election participants and the LO Team.

"The election participants and their LO Team will be mediated to tidy up the APK center, which has violated statutory regulations and has the potential to endanger road users," said East Jakarta Bawaslu Chairman Willem J Wetik when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, January 17.
