JAKARTA - The Peradi Purwokerto DPC Legal Aid Center accompanied two women victims of abuse by an individual TNI member at a nightclub in Sokaraja, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, last Saturday, January 13. "We from PBH DPC Peradi Purwokerto have accompanied MF (18) and BR (23) to the Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto office to report the physical violence incident committed by an individual member of Denpom," said Chairman of PBH DPC Peradi Purwokerto AP Bimas Dewanto in Purwokerto, Banyumas, Wednesday afternoon. According to him, the two women who were victims of the persecution by TNI personnel with the initials AP underwent an examination at the Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto office for approximately eight hours. He expects Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto to follow up on reports related to physical violence in the form of kicks and beatings of the two women. In fact, there are also civilians who also commit this physical violence. "Regarding the evidence, we have made a post-mortem from the hospital. In fact, one of our clients, MF is still being given medicine because he was kicked twice in the leg and his left jaw was bruised, making it difficult to eat," he said. Meanwhile, BR, he said, received a shot in the stomach as well as a blow to the shoulders and back of the neck. Until now, BR still feels pain when he wakes up. Regarding the chronology of the incident, it started with a commotion involving a friend of the two victims, namely KE (22) and a woman with the initials AY. "When our clients left the entertainment venue, they saw a commotion between KE and AY, so they tried to intervene by pulling TO," he explained. However, as soon as he entered the parking lot, he said, the TNI personnel chased MF, BR, and KE and immediately committed the violence. "We hope that those who have processed will be more optimal in accordance with the legal corridor," said Bimas. The case of abuse by unscrupulous members of the TNI was revealed after the child of a vertical agency official in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, reported to the Banyumas City Police (Polresta) on Saturday, January 13 last afternoon and Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto on Sunday, January 14 afternoon for being a victim in the incident. The young man with the initials MA (24) who was completing a study at a university in Purwokerto became a victim because he tried to break up the commotion at a nightclub on Saturday morning involving a man with a number of women he did not know before. However, the Supreme Court was finally beaten by a man who was later identified as a member of the TNI with the initials AP along with seven civilians who suddenly came to the scene. As a result of the incident, the Supreme Court suffered injuries to the lower face, temples, and back of the head. Even the wound on the lower part of the face had to get two stitches. Denpom IV/1 Commander Purwokerto Lt. Col. Cpm Irianto said his party had received a complaint report from the Supreme Court and immediately followed up by examining the complainant and the reported party. In fact, he said, the reported initials AP had been taken to Pomdam IV/Diponegoro in Semarang on Monday morning to undergo further examination. He ensured that the legal process related to the case allegedly involving TNI personnel was still ongoing.
