Ganjar Pranowo Outperforms Anies Baswedan In The 2024 Presidential Election Candidate Exchange, Prabowo Subianto In The Top Position

JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Ganjar Pranowo has an advantage over Anies Baswedan in a survey conducted by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI). Ganjar was chosen by 10.6 percent of respondents while 10.2 percent chose the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

Ganjar's superiority is related to the survey results regarding the presidential candidate market in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. In the top class, there is the name of the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto with a percentage of respondents of 22.5 percent. Survey using semi open.

"We gave a list of names to respondents without entering Pak Jokowi's name because he could not run again in 2024. So, Pak Prabowo's position was superior, 22.5 percent," said LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in a virtual survey presentation, Monday, February 22nd.

The next names chosen by respondents were Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) with 7.2 percent of voters, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno with 6.9 percent, Tri Rismaharini with 5.5 percent, Ridwan Kamil with 5 percent, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono with 4.8 percent.

Below it, there is the name Susi Pujiastuti with 2.3 percent of voters, Ustaz Abdul Somad 2 percent, Gatot Nurmantyo 2 percent, Khofifah Indar Parawansa 1.8 percent, Ma'ruf Amin 1.1 percent, and a number of other names who are in below 1 percent.

"So, their choice is the names of figures who have been circulating in our society," he said.

Then, LSI performs a closed simulation of 10 predefined names. As a result, Prabowo Subianto remains the most superior with a gain of 26 percent. Followed by Ganjar Pranowo with 15.4 percent, Anies Baswedan with 13.3 percent, Sandiaga Uno with 10.4 percent, and Ridwan Kamil with 7.5 percent.

Below him, there are the names Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono with 6.2 percent, Khofifah Indar Parawansa 4.4 percent, Gatot Nurmantyo 2.6 percent, Puan Maharani 1.1 percent, Budi Gunawan 0.6 percent, and don't know or don't answer by 12.6 percent.

"Although a closed simulation was carried out on several names of figures, his position did not change. Pak Prabowo was still the most superior, then continued by Pak Ganjar and Pak Anies," he said.

For information, this survey was conducted in the period 25 to 31 January 2021. The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews using the multistage random sampling method.

The survey was conducted on 1,200 respondents who were married or aged over 17 years. The margin of error is 2.9 percent and the survey confidence level is 95 percent.
