Mutiara Baswedan Highlights The Number Of Law Enforcements That Are Selective

Mutiara Annisa Baswedan highlighted that there are still many cases of law enforcement that are "selected" or uneven, so that in the future it must be improved by the government.

The eldest daughter of the presidential candidate (candidate) number 1 Anies Baswedan said that the law enforcement case in Indonesia is still not as upright as possible, even tends to be sharp downwards and blunt upwards.

"There are so many cases that people need insiders to solve the problems they face. For example, domestic violence (KDRT), murder, which in the end is not handled because they don't have 'insiders'," Mutiara said in a broadcast program with ANTARA TV in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 9.

The alumni of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (UI) explained that the phenomenon of "insiders" must be abolished, so that law enforcement must be carried out fairly without waiting for other frills to be enforced.

In addition to law enforcement, the woman who is often called Tia also highlighted the decreasing freedom of expression in Indonesia.

In a democratic country like Indonesia, people should be free to express opinions to criticize the government, not instead of being afraid and worried to speak up.

"The public should be able to criticize the government and express opinions calmly, because Indonesia is a democratic country. As long as the public conveys that criticism is still afraid, it is still a problem in my opinion," he said.

According to him, currently many people or young people have the courage to express opinions to criticize the government, but many have been arrested or intimidated by officials.

It is appropriate for the state to ensure that anyone who speaks up must also ensure its security and comfort, even though it is the government that has been criticized.

"So the problem is not only whether young people dare to speak up or not, but whether the state facilitates being able to speak up and have free opinions," added the daughter of Fery Farhati.
