JAKARTA - The automotive brand from South Korea, Kia officially launched its new all-new model, Syros. This model has a compact SUV style for the Indian market.

Launching from Autocar India, Friday, December 20, Kia Syros has a new design language similar to the large EV SUV, EV9. It is stated that this model is available in both gasoline and diesel variants with a pure EV that will join its ranks in the future.

In its exterior view, Syros has an EV3 and EV9-like display with a more boxy and perpendicular frontnose and display headlights piled up vertically on the edge of the bumper.

Lighting is supported by three LED projector units and different LED daytime running lamp light elements. Unlike the ICE variant, the EV type has a more closed grip with the intake water channel positioned at the bottom.

Another highlight of Syros is its high design with dark A, C, and D pillars and a body-colored B pillar that creates a perfect window line. The side is also equipped with a rim with a three-klobe pattern measuring 17 inches.

Meanwhile, the back has an L-shaped rear light which is higher and has two black and silver finishing on the bumper.

Syros has a modern interior display with a 12.3-inch double screen for state-of-the-art infotainment and instrument clusters. It is combined with a 5-inch screen for the temperature measuring system, thus forming a combined 30-inch screen.

In addition, the steering wheel has the latest two-stop pattern inspired by EV3 with a smooth center console with wireless charging pads.

The car has a number of impressive equipment such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless, over-the-air updates for infotainment, four ventilated seats, ADAS level 2, and audio 8-peaker Harman Kardon system.

At the bottom of the engine hood, Syros is offered in the choice of 1.0 liters of turbo-gasoline powered 120 dk and torque 172 Nm combined with transmission six manual accelerations and seven DCT accelerations. Diesel options are offered with 1.5 liters of 116 dk power and 250 Nm torque combined with six manual accelerations and six automatic accelerations.

Kia will open a booking period on January 3 at a price to be announced in February next year in India.
