The General Elections Commission (KPU) is trying to resolve the problem of finding ballots that were damaged in various regions by immediately replacing them and reprinting the logistics equipment in printing printing.

"In fact, with a sort, we prove that we are working. There is an inappropriate ballot, we will sort it out and replace it to a printing company," said KPU member Yulianto Sudrajat, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

According to him, the number of ballots found was damaged in several areas, only a handful of the total ballots.

However, the KPU continues to sort ballots every day so that these findings do not increase.

"The findings are large, how many of the total billions of ballots? 'It's only hundreds, some of which were only 1,000 or how many yesterday," he said.

He explained that the sorting will continue for the next 30 days. He judged that this time was sufficient to sort and find damaged documents

"This is very sufficient, every day we sort, data on ballots that cannot be used always come in, we always collect them and we put them in printing stations to be replaced," said Yulianto.

Regarding the percentage distribution of logistics equipment, he said the KPU had distributed all the equipment needed in the 2024 General Election to all corners of the country. However, currently all tools are still in the process of sorting, folding, and packaging (packaging).

"This is just the sorting process, folding, then tapping, yes, still in districts/cities. It's 100 percent in districts/cities. Next, the distribution will be to PPK, PPS, then to D-1 at TPS that way," he said.

The first phase of the 2024 Election Distributionistics, said Bawaslu member Herwyn Malonda on Monday (8/1), his party found that many logistics items were damaged.

Based on Bawaslu data, ballot boxes found damaged are in 177 districts/cities. The results of the supervision found damaged ballot booths in 61 districts/cities, damaged ink in 124 districts/cities, and damaged seales in 30 districts/cities.

In the second phase of logistics distribution, damaged ballots were in 127 of 514 regencies/cities during the period 15 November 2023 to 14 January 2024. It was stated that there were 61 regencies/cities whose number of ballots did not match the number that should have been received.
