PT KAI Announces The Train Line In Bandung Can Now Be Passed Post-accident

BANDUNG Regency - The location of the accident between Haurpugur Station-Cicalengka Station which was cut off, can be passed by the train after the Turangga train accident with the Bandung Raya Local Train on Friday, January 5.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia ensures that the railway line (KA) can be passed is revealed by the Public Relations Manager of Daop 2 Bandung Ayep Hanepi.

He said, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 6, the route has now been declared safe to pass, after the evacuation of the locomotive and repairs to the route completed on Saturday morning.

"It can return to normal, all trains, both local trains and long-distance trains for departures from Bandung and from Kiaracondong," said Ayep in Bandung Regency, West Java, Saturday.

Ayep said that until now his party is still limiting speed to trains passing on the route with a maximum speed of 20 kilometers per hour.

"Furthermore, just through the first train in the Cikurai train, Garut-Pasar Senen connection at 08.56 WIB with a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, thank God it can be safely passed," he said.

PT KAI will try to restore the route as soon as possible so that the train trip can return to normal.

Ayep added that although the route was already accessible, there were still a number of trains that were affected by their trips due to the operation pattern that was changed by PT KAI as a result of this accident.

"Vehicles from the east are currently still carrying out a rotating operation pattern because they are currently in the Cirebon area and the Cikampek area, just waiting for arrivals to Bandung Station and Kiaracondong Station," he said.

PT KAI, according to him, has compensated passengers by returning a ticket fee of 100 percent outside of the message fee if passengers intend to cancel their trip.

Previously, the Turangga train bound for Surabaya-Bandung had a collision with the Bandung Raya Local Train at KM 181+700 plots of road between Haurpugur Station Cicalengka Station, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Friday (5/1) at around 06.03 WIB.

As a result of this incident, it was reported that four people had died and 37 people were injured and there were no casualties from the passenger.

The dead consisted of one driver, one assistant driver, one security officer at Cimekar Station, and one Prama KA Turangga.
