The rain that has occurred since the afternoon in the South Jakarta area has caused flooding in a number of areas. According to data from the DKI Jakarta BPBD, the Pondok Karya area, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta experienced flooding as high as 1 meter.

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Disaster Data Center, Mohamad Yohan, said that 11 RTs were affected by the flood. However, for different heights in each RT in the area.

"Yes, each RT is different. So maybe it's the same one that's close to the river. Basin. So it can't be generalized, all 100 centimeters (1 meter) are the highest points. The data in the entry is still 30 centimeters.," said Yohan when confirmed, Thursday, January 4.

Yohan said, although the height reached 100 Cm in the 11 RTs, there were still many residents who were reluctant to be evacuated. Because residents think that the flooding that occurred in that location would recede quickly.

Therefore, he has not been able to conclude whether the affected residents will be evacuated or not. Meanwhile, BPBD and Basarnas have provided two rubber boats.

"Well, we are waiting for him, because of our experience, no matter how high there are residents who do not want to evacuate. Because it receded quickly. There was one rubber boat from Basarnas and 1 BPBD rubber boat," he said.

Regarding the cause of the flood, continued Yohan, it was not because of the rain that occurred in the location. However, due to the overflow of the Mampang river, there was a flood in the area.
