East Java Police Hunt For Other Suspects In The Shooting Case In Sampang

The East Java Regional Police are hunting for another suspect in the Murah shooting case (48), a community leader in Sampang Regency who is also a Prabowo-Gibran volunteer.

"We convey that the Dirkrimum and his team are still in the field, still pursuing other perpetrators, which may be used or carrying more than one firearm," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, Thursday, January 4.

The East Java Regional Police have named three suspects with the initials S, H and W in this case. Of the three suspects, it was revealed that H was the Head of Banyuates Village.

However, Dirmanto did not mention how many people were in pursuit and his role.

"Still being chased, please be patient, if it has been revealed next week we will convey in detail," he said.

Currently, investigators have examined 23 witnesses in the shooting case.

"The witnesses included witnesses at the TKP (scene of the case), victim witnesses, arrest witnesses, and five CCTV witnesses who were currently under investigation by the East Java Regional Police Labfor," he said.

The shooting occurred while Muhari was talking while drinking coffee with his friend in front of a shop in Banyuates District, Sampang at 09.30 WIB, Friday, December 22, 2023.

Then two people came on a motorbike approaching the victim. The perpetrator then opened fire at the victim.

After shooting the two perpetrators fled. Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to the nearest hospital, then referred to Dr Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya.
